HASCO has lots of programs that offer both housing and/or supportive services to help destitute households on their own journey to self-sufficiency. These programs range from the Assertive Engagement Specialist for destitute families with children on HASCO’s Section 8 waitlist, the Service-Enriched Project-based Voucher Program for destitute families with children, and also the HUD-VASH program for destitute veterans.
Service-Enriched Project-based Voucher Program
HASCO’s Service-Enriched Project-based Voucher Program serves destitute families with children by supplying accommodations subsidy and supportive services for them. The YWCA of San antonio – King County – Snohomish County, Catholic Community Services, Housing Hope, and Volunteers of the usa work with HASCO to supply supportive services towards the households, including ongoing situation management, existence skills classes, chemical dependency treatment, mental health services and job training programs. When the family effectively completes their service plan, they get a tenant-based voucher and may proceed to market-rate housing.
HUD-VASH Program for Veterans
HASCO partners using the U.S. Department of Veterans Matters San antonio Division to supply HUD-VASH vouchers to destitute veterans in Snohomish County. HASCO offers the HUD-VASH rental subsidy towards the veteran and also the Veterans administration provides ongoing situation management services. Interested veterans should speak with their Veterans administration social worker concerning the VASH program. If you’re a destitute veteran and don’t possess a Veterans administration social worker, please call 206-277-6768 and request “A consult for referral to VASH.”

HOMELESSNESS HERE
Video COMMENTS:
Sacred Thyme: i have Done my best as homelessness is super challenging especially for me as a 50 year old Disabled Women. Hope for a Forever Home …. Someday.\n Homeless myself for years – i am Disabled and no where to go or be in my wheelchair; as i am not able to be around tobacco or alcohol (PTSD) -\n i currently Have a Temp home but only able to afford for a few months …. this home here is needed for me as i try to get stronger & healthy enough to not be bedridden as i have been for over a decade. \nmoving my van daily hurt my body very much. sleep has been harsh for me when living without a home or land or safety.\n i currently have a homeless "helper" person to drive me to doctor visits and to shop = in trade to live in their van in my driveway; as that person is homeless from home lost from BofA foreclosure that caused fears & social/mental problems & not able to understand the world; so i am helping that homeless person currently. we care for the property and home and have pride – and we recycle and Care for selves and the world….\n\n but as the homeless future appears for me; i am not sure what to do …\n unless i can locate an organic farm or land to have my little garden and a place to set up an affordable respectable yurt or such; perhaps a Safe community Land?\n i am doing my best.\n i have never been arrested or done wrong.\n my body just cannot do as others and after 17 years awaiting 'Disability' funds while not able to care for self that whole time our government obviously does not care. \n i traded gardening or security for my living space for years but often the home/land owner has sadly fallen "in love' for marriage or want other such relationship from me after i create beauty and i loved to craft art & grow an organic garden oasis.\n i always tried to be the example of good and to be my greatest potential. \n\n50 years as a Disabled Women … Homeless/Landless has been very challenging \nfyi = Hot Water is AWEsome ~ . . . Much LOVE to us ALL ~
